Logan and pneumonia again plus Sushi 24 weeks

So Logan is almost better, but he has been sick for about 2 weeks now.  The day I had my ultrasound and found out my cervix had gone from 5 to 3.6, Logan came home with a fever.  My doctor had told me she wasn't worried, but she wanted me to take it easy for real this time.  Other than that, everything is good with Sushi.  I had planned too but of course those plans didn't work out when Logan came home with a fever!  He couldn't go to school for 2 days but besides the fever, cough and runny nose, Logan didn't act sick at all!  He was full of energy, so it wasn't possible for me to take it easy when he was home with me.  So my mom and dad came up the next day to help me out since I was supposed to be taking it easy.  He seems to be getting better and by Sunday I thought he was about done with the sickness.  Monday we had a playdate with friends and he didn't seem very good on Monday, seemed to be not feeling very well.  And by Sunday night he had a fever again, so he couldn't go to daycare.  Tuesday is when we had our ice storm, but Logan and I braved it to go to the doctor and found out he had the beginnings of pneumonia.  Our doctor said that because his sicknesses keep going to his lungs that it was time to put him on a long term treatment in order to hopefully stop this from happening.  She said that every time he gets fluid in his lungs that it causes a scar and that isn't good.  So he got an antibiotic and a new med, Pulmicort for his nebulizer machine.  So we have to do the pulmicort twice a day and xopenex 3 times a day while he is still coughing.  Once he is over the sickness we just do the pulmicort once a day until winter is over and then we will see what to do next.  She wants to see how he does in the spring/summer and see if he has issues and needs it.  She said this could be a sign of asthma, but since we have no family history of this she thinks he will grow out of it.  Said we will talk allergy testing later if he isn't doing better, since there is no history she doesn't want to subject him to the blood test unless it seems necessary.  So it has changed up our schedule a lot, but we are now doing breathing treatments 3 times a day, 2 at home and 1 at daycare.  Getting his antibiotic in him was not too fun, it had a horrible aftertaste and he didn't really want to take that one, so glad that is over.  He seems to be doing really well now.  He stayed home 3 days last week too, but finally was well enough to go back to daycare last Thursday and Friday, so I have been able to rest some.  Jason was working from home on the days he was home sick, so that was helpful, but since Jason actually had to work, he couldn't really do too much...

So seems like he is on the mend and hopefully the breathing treatments will help him to not get too sick with his next virus!
