Updates

Well, I haven't been able to post for awhile because I haven't had time. Logan is now pulling up on everything so we have to constantly watch him so he doesn't fall. We have had a few times where he has fallen and bonked his head already, some days he gets over this quickly, some days it takes awhile. He loves to pull up in his crib. He is constantly doing it, he has now learned to sit back down, basically he just lets go and plops down. So for awhile we had to go lay him back down, then he would immediately roll onto his stomach and pull himself back up. A few nights this past week I sat in his room with my back to him and just held onto his sleep sack so he couldn't roll onto his tummy and try to pull up. He didn't get upset, but just kept trying to roll over and it took awhile before he gave up! Right now he is in his crib supposed to be napping and for almost an hour he has been constantly pulling up and plopping back down. Because of this newly learned skill we have been cheating and rocking him to sleep sometimes because he gets so excited over standing he won't allow himself to fall asleep. We are hoping he gets bored of this some day and will go back to falling asleep quickly on his own, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Logan went to the doctor on July 3rd for his 9 month check up. Here are his stats:

Weight - 19 lbs 4 oz - 27th percentile
Height - 27.75 - 30th percentile
Head - 18.25 -77th percentile

He checked out perfectly as usual! At this stage Dr. Kristen said he can start eating table foods. So we have been trying those out, so far he isn't too much of a fan. He does love puffs though! Took a few times before he decided he likes those also, but now he enjoys them. He has tried mashed sweet potatoes, and made a horrible face! I was also feeding him baby sweet potatoes, so I guess it was just the different texture he didn't like. Mac and cheese didn't go over very well the first time either. This weekend we tried mac and cheese again, seemed to be okay with it, strawberry (which he made a horrible face) and pancakes. He eats most things we give him, but he is still trying to get used to table food. I'm sure it won't take him long to realize it's better tasting than baby food!

We are also working on starting to use a sippy cup, because he is supposed to be off bottles by a year. He likes to play with them and chew on the part you drink from, but I put water in the cup and he hasn't actually tried to get anything out of it, so we are still working on that...

Logan hung out with his cousin Max this weekend, he was just amazed my him. He really enjoys toddlers! We had family pictures yesterday, Max did well, but Logan was just overwhelmed. We didn't get many smiles out of him, so we'll see how the pictures turn out. I think he does better in a smaller setting. When there are lots of things going on he goes into introvert mode and just takes it all in.

Dr. Kristen said his right upper tooth should be coming in soon, but we still haven't seen it. So not sure when that one will pop through. He was having a couple bad nights a few weeks ago so we thought maybe it was coming, but nothing ever showed up!

Well, think that's about all that is going on now, Logan is still playing in his crib, apparently he feels he doesn't need a nap this afternoon! Which means an early bedtime!
