Logan had a doc appt today to follow up on his jaundice. He weighed in at 5.14 lbs today! Up from 5.9 on Saturday, so he is gaining now! She said his color looks good and he checks out okay on everything else. So we were relieved! Looks like we are home for good this time.
We did ask about his sleeping patterns because he sleeps anywhere we put him during the day and doesn't complain at all. But as soon as night comes, he seems to know where we lay him and complains unless he is in his swing. And even then, he is still not happy for very long. She said that he has his days and nights mixed up, that most babies do. And the way to fix it is during the day don't let him sleep for more than 3 hours a day, wake him up to feed him and make sure to have lights on, noise etc, during the day and make it peaceful and quiet at night. We have been trying this and will continue so hopefully Logan will realize soon when night is so we can get more sleep!
My milk still hasn't come in fully, so we have to keep up with the breast feeding, pumping and formula routine. This is very annoying as it takes an hour to feed him at least when you do all these things. I was complaining about having to go up and down the stairs multiple times a night to put the expressed milk in the fridge and get out out the formula and heat it up. So Jason's dad said he had a little college size fridge he wasn't using. So he brought that over today and it's in our room now so hopefully that will make things a little faster so I can cut out the 2 trips a feeding up and down the stairs.
Jason changed his first poopy diaper today too, I got a picture of that! It was very funny, Logan was crying as he doesn't like to get his diaper changed, and Jason was telling him he wasn't very happy either. He did good though, got through it, and cleaned him up good! So now that I know he can do it, I will make sure he changes many more!
Well, it's dinner time for Logan so I gotta go!
