Logan's First Thanksgiving

Logan had a great first Thanksgiving. It was a long weekend for him and he did wonderful. We first went to the Diehl's on Thursday for Thanksgiving with Grandma and Grandpa Diehl and Aunt Tiffany. Logan also got to meet Zoey, Tiffany's dog and Isis' sister for the first time. Zoey was very interested in Logan and tried many times to give him kisses. Logan didn't seem to mind, guess he is already used all the attention from puppies! Here is a picture of Logan in the new bib Grandma got him, he also has on a Thanksgiving outfit but you can't really see it with the bib. As you can see from the picture he is having a good time! Grandma was giving him a bottle here, which always makes him happy.

We left our dogs with Barb and Gordie for the weekend as we couldn't figure out how to get everything we needed for Logan and the dogs in the car for the ride home to my parents. Normally they ride in the backseat and they are never a problem, but I am afraid they won't care that Logan is in his carseat in the back and end up climbing over him, stepping on him, etc in order to move around the backseat. On the way to the Diehl's, the dogs got the front seat and I sat in back with Logan. So the pups didn't get to make the trip to Floyds Knobs, but I don't think Pebbles would have been too sad because she was very nervous and scared around my brother and his family.
So Friday afternoon after Logan had lunch, we headed to my parents house, 2 hours away. Logan has never been in the car longer than 30 minutes, so we were a little nervous. But he slept the whole way! He was great! Once we got home, we headed out to my Aunt and Uncle's house to have dinner and hang out. Logan again did really well being passed around to everyone, he was happy and just liked checking out all the new people. Saturday we again went back to my Aunt's where there were even more family members and it was the official Thanksgiving celebration. He napped for awhile, but as soon as he was awake, everyone had their hands out wanting to hold him. Again he did great and didn't mind being passed around, he was very content, slept some and showed everyone his smile! Next year, Logan will be able to do a little more there, like go see the cows and horses and ride the tractor like the other kids got to do! He was a little young to enjoy that now, but I think he will have fun next year.

Here is a pic I took of Logan over the weekend, he was chilin on Grandpa Bentley's lap!

We had a good weekend and on Sunday after Logan again had lunch we headed out. About 30 minutes into the ride, we hit traffic. Completely stopped traffic! This was not good. Normally Logan is fine in the car as long as it is moving, but when you are stopped he starts to fuss, so I was very scared he was going to start fussing, but he didn't! We had stop and go traffic for whole ride home almost, took us more than 3 hours to get back and it normally takes two. Logan was way past his next feeding by the time we got home and he did start to fuss about 10 minutes from the house. So as soon as we got home, I ran in to get everything ready while Jason got him out of the car. As soon as he got feed, he was a happy man again! So he did great on his first Thanksgiving and his first trip!

Since I didn't get any pictures of Logan in his Thanksgiving outfit without the bib, because I washed it to take it home and then left all his clothes in the dryer, we had a little photo shoot today. So here is the best one of him in his Thanksgiving outfit!

I have also added more Thanksgiving pictures in the Picture links.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
